A Suffolk police officer saved the life of a man who drove his pickup truck into the water in Patchogue on Monday.
The driver suffered a medical episode, and he plunged his truck into the water.
Officer Daniel Elitharp saw the man slumped over in his car. He jumped into the water and rescued the man.
The driver was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
