If you’ve ever wanted to have DANIEL RADCLIFFE read “Harry Potter” to you . . . well, it’s happening.
It’s for an ongoing series called “Harry Potter at Home“, which J.K. Rowling announced last month, to provide, quote, “a bit of magic to keep children amused and interested while we’re on lockdown.”
It’ll feature special guests reading the first “Harry Potter” book, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” . . . (a.k.a. “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”.)
Daniel reads the first chapter, “The Boy Who Lived”. Future chapters will be released each week throughout the spring and into the summer. There are 17 chapters in all.
Not all the readers have been announced, and not all of them are actors from the movies. Some of the future readers will include David Beckham, Dakota Fanning, Eddie Redmayne, and Stephen Fry, who read the British version of the “Harry Potter” audiobooks.

Meanwhile, METALLICA is encouraging fans to volunteer at food banks and give back to their communities. They’ve done something similar in previous years in the month of May . . . but obviously, the pandemic has created even more need in the world.
“Inspired by today’s #GivingTuesdayNow, a new global date of giving in response to the global need caused by COVID-19, we’re going to spotlight four organizations we’re supporting throughout this crisis,” drummer Lars Ulrich said in a video statement. “Each week this month, we will share with you what these organizations do and show you how you can chip in to help. We’ll be contributing proceeds from special weekly featured merchandise in the Metallica store and continuing to donate funds raised during the #MetallicaMondays streaming concerts.
